I know you can choose to speed up Planetfall animations, but they either seem painfully slow, or suddenly way too fast depending on which speeds setting you choose (or if you choose to force fast combat animations). The animations leave a lot to be desired IMO. I guess I just want more feedback and weight to the units? I'm having a hard time putting this criticism into words, but it's like the game feels "cheaper" (thinner? flimsier?) than AoW3, where as in AoW3 I guess it felt "chunkier" when you selected and moved units. Also sometimes it's hard to know immediately which unit is selected when you have flying and ground units in the same area. floaty(?) and the animations feel kinda sluggish. It's hard to describe, but the "feedback" when you click on units, and issue commands. ![]() ![]() I really like Planetfall, but there's just something about how the tactical combat "feels" that is turning me off, especially when compared to Age of Wonders 3 (which I've spent a lot of hours playing). ![]()
